Among many responsibilities of Clinical Education Directorate are to:

  • Administer the medical education program in accordance with the overall objectives of the organization
  • Identify the educational needs of the medical staff members and students
  • Coordinate educational effort with the program coordinators in various departments and record and coordinate data in all areas
  • Supervise activities related to the implementation of the Continuous Medical Education program and will be responsible for providing Continuous Medical Education programs, which meet accreditation requirements and responsible for promoting programs and recording attendance.

In line with hospital mission, and in order to achieve its responsibilities, the Clinical Education Directorate, creates and coordinates an innovative program of study that strives for excellence in clinical skills development. The practical training is provided to local and international students from different domains:

  • Medical (undergraduate and post graduates),
  • Nursing and midwifery
  • Health sciences
  • Non-medical disciplines
  • Professional interns in different services according to the request of the interns.

We receive students from different institutions/ universities; either local or international students, from different categories: Medical (undergraduate and post graduates), Nursing and midwifery and Allied health sciences.

For students to be admitted there are some requirements according to the policy no 356/2016 on Clinical placement at CHUB.

The staff trainings are grouped into two groups: the training conducted inside of the Hospital and other conducted outside of the hospital (short and long term training).

Most of the training conducted inside the hospital are scheduled to take place every month. Those are:

  • In service trainings:
  • Infection Prevention & Control,
  • Resuscitation,
  • Access to care,
  • Quality and accreditation,
  • Risk management.

Apart from these trainings mentioned above, the directorate organized and coordinates other scientific activities. Those are:

  • Continuous Professional Development Programmes: Every first and last Tuesday, and every first and last Wednesday of the month are organized conferences for health professionals (Nurses, Midwives, Allied health professionals, and Medical doctors).
  • Tumor Board Meeting: The meetings are scheduled every Thursday of the week from 7:00 to 8:00 AM.
  • Other trainings.
